Snow Expected for Tonight

Tonight:
Cloudy with some snow showers this evening. A steady snow likely after midnight. Low 32F. Winds SW at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of snow 80%. 1 to 2 inches of snow expected.

The snow may mix with and change back over to rain though during the day tomorrow...then possibly mix with and change back over late tomorrow night as some snow showers before ending. The models have been taking this thing farther south with each run and the farther south it is and the more moisture associated with it, during the best times of course, the better chance we have...so they could go up or down. We're still in a bit of a bad spot, it needs to drop a little further south. Just some minor accumulations for some, if any unless things change. These "clipper" systems can severely disappoint or be a big surprise, usually a tough call. It would be nice if it didn't warm up enough to change to rain lol, but....

Well the weather channel is now saying its going to go north of us and just give us a light mix of rain/snow tom. during the day.

Should have had it that way the whole time like everyone else. Then again, it's the Weather Channel.....

The front is passing through the area now and temps will (already are for some) start falling off quickly. Moisture is wrapping around the system, so hopefully it hangs around long enough for it to interact with the cold air and put down a little snow. Some could see minor accumulations, especially on elevated surfaces and of course in the higher elevations. That is if there's enough moisture left behind and it sticks around. Hey, maybe if there's more and the winds are just right to add some Lake enhancement or a good "upslope" for a while.....yeah, okay...dreaming I guess haha.
